Many can call themselves a professional whatchamacallit. Here I list my education and experience for you. And I am happy to share more for those who need a little extra assurance. Do your research, ask questions and make a decision you feel at peace with.
To be completely transparent I do not have a degree thru a university. I have taken courses, read books, attended conferences and so much more to further my understanding in dogs. I have trained dogs since 1995 and stumbled into behavioral in 2012. One could say I am as curious as a cat. And what may have worked yesterday may not work today. One size does not fit all.
They offer a variety of classes to earn certifications or further one's education. After all, what we know today could be desolate tomorrow. I am member and an ongoing student. These are the courses I have completed and passed thus far. And will add as I do more.
Jessica teaches an online course for leash reactivity. There are so many ways to approach dogs with this condition. And usually with time, patience and consistency one can redirect their little fussy furball.
Micheal's course focuses on aggressive dogs. There is a huge difference in reactive and aggressive. However, if the reactive is not treated it can turn into aggression when one least expects it.
Dr Spaulding has her own classes that are recognized by the IAABC. I have taken her "Unlocking Resilience" course and read the book. She offers a monthly webinar that adds to my CEU's and quenches my own curiosity. She does a podcast, as well.
I am currently a supporting member while working on my certifications. This allows me a broader access to other colleagues who share their experiences and knowledge. As stated before, we are the company we keep.
We are currently not taking on new clients thru January. Please feel free to be placed on our waiting list.
