It is the season to spread germs. We do understand there is a virus going around currently, mainly in the southern states. Although it is not understood how it spreads, we do know antibiotics are not helping. In some cases the dogs have died. We want all to be aware of this disease and to be smart with your canine companion. Avoid dog parks and other public spaces that allow a lot of dogs. We are treating this like Covid; disinfect everything and only hug those you know. We use all steam products to maintain our pack's health. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email. We do hope all have a jolly holiday!
We always had dogs and cats growing up in our home. From a Toy Poodle to a Great Dane and everything in between. As one could imagine, I learned early on how animals enrich our lives and vice versa. Years of consistency and devotion to my passion and curiosity to understand animals is what has given me the greatest joy in life.
I began at the ripe age of 13 with a cat sitting job for a neighbor who had two cats. Who knew I was already doing what I was meant to do. Over the years, friends and family called upon me to care for their furry ones when away.
It took me awhile to take the plunge, but I finally decided to play, I mean work, with animals full time. I have dedicated my life to giving my clients the ultimate paradise haven for their furry family members.
One gets what they invest in anything in life, including relationships with all beings. The more we engage with an understanding, the stronger the bond. Animals communicate mainly with their body. Humans have lost the art to even communicate or understand body language with one another, so it is only natural we fall flat with our furry family members. I believe in taking the time to curate a relationship built on trust and respect to ease your pup to put their best paw forward. I love aiding in connecting the dots of conflict between human and canine communication.
Leave your pup with someone who will be there full time.
I start your boarding the time you drop off and only add a daycare charge when needed. Prices are the same, regardless of day. No up charge for holidays.
Those old faces still need TLC and a watchful eye to ensure their well being. An orthopedic bed to snooze on while being softly encouraged to move is important too.
Monday thru Friday Only
We believe you are the company you keep. This is why we only keep the best of the best here. Have your pup come play with some of Charleston's finest. Here your pup will learn how to be their best self by being around already great dogs.
We work on petiquette, socialization and most importantly having fun. Updates sent via text with photos and videos of your dog's time here. Barking, jumping, impulse control and leash manners are primary areas we focus on here, but there is so much more we do.
Your dog can have a two hour adventure around the town.
The more dogs are exposed to people, places and things, the more their confidence builds. They learn to navigate with ease. Our field trips encourage dogs to step out of their comfort zone with friends and learn more about the world around them.
Who doesn't want a dog they can take along and be proud to display their canine's cool demeanor. These trips desensitize and educates your pup. The more we know, the better we are.
A two week stay to see your dog's true capabilities.
Sometimes we unintentional teach our dogs some undesirable habits. Many don't know how to undo what has been learned. Or worse they condition themselves to live with the issues they don't like. Change is hard, especially when one doesn't know how to get to point B from where they are.
During a two week stay your dog goes back to the basics. Once they show they can and will curb their bad habits, I transfer the change to your home. A consultation and modifications are given to set the dog up for success. And I am available for any questions, concerns are setbacks throughout the process. .

Most Common Questions
I have been established in Charleston since 2013. The dogs I work with are great and most are veterans, which makes my work easy to maintain. There is not an exact number because it depends on the dogs. New dogs are slowly introduced to the PAWS team and soon become seasonal friends. And I don't take on new dogs the same day or holidays.
Holidays are a busy season for dog caregivers. I do not up charge during these times. My fees are flat throughout the year, regardless of the day of the week.
My life's focus has always been to follow my biggest passion; animals. My first dog is who really pushed me into this field. As she turned older, I wanted to be with her more to ensure her well being. Seeing the other options, public facilities, I learned quickly the lack of consistency, routine and discipline gave many dogs more neurosis issues. I wanted to offer something I was looking for inspired by my own furry family.
Small Non Profits Making a Big Difference
I love this organization because they see the importance of the benefits of animals for all. Homelessness is everywhere and suffer from all types of stigma from society. Having a roof over one's head is not the only way to maintain a bond with an animal. I understand many come from a place of good intentions, but love is stronger than materialistic things. And many become homeless for things out of their control. The Street Dog Coalition is here to help, not judge. Please visit their site for more info; https://www.thestreetdogcoalition.org.
This place is based in Romania and is family run. I love that their entire place is fully environmental green with solar panels and wind turbines. One woman's passion to combat strays has become a huge success for animals and humans. Please check their website to learn more on the differences they are making and how to be part of the change; https://savasafehaven.com.
